The much anticipated 132nd Argentine Open began on Saturday 1 November with two matches which saw opening wins for UAE Polo and Sol de Agosto against La Zeta Kazak and Los Machitos respectively. UAE and La Zeta Kazak opened the day on Ground 2, with UAE needing a win after recent setbacks in the Hurlingham and Tortugas Opens. La Zeta Kazak led 7-6 by half-time thanks to standout performances from Lorenzo Chavanne, Facundo Llosa and Pelón Stirling. UAE fought back in the second half, eventually pulling ahead 12-8 before La Zeta Kazak levelled 12-12 in the final minute, but Tomás Panelo’s last-second goal secured a 13-12 win for UAE. Later, Sol de Agosto edged Los Machitos 16-15 in extra time, with 18-year-old Paquito de Narváez scoring the golden goal after a thrilling comeback that tied the match 15-all in regulation.
On Sunday 2 November, La Hache Cría & Polo defeated La Ensenada Clonargen 18-17, Sapo Caset returning to the starting lineup. The win came thanks to a golden goal by Toly Ulloa in extra time, securing La Hache’s first victory in the 2025 Triple Crown.
