Fri 22nd Sep 2017 What’s On This Weekend Polo near you The tournament roster is thinning out but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some great polo events on near you this weekend, to keep your polo bug going strong.  Some clubs across the country will be hosting their final tournaments of the season, whilst international clubs are just getting going. Home to the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gold Cup, Cowdray Park Polo Club will be hosting its final two tournament this weekend, the Farewell Cup and the Autumn Cup, whilst Cirencester Park will host players for the Associates Trophy and revellers for their End of Season bash.  The selection of low goal tournaments are still going strong, with Tidworth welcoming players for the Valete Cup and White Waltham Polo Club hosting their 0 Goal Mar del Plata Polo Challenge.  The French polo season will come to an end this weekend with the Final of the Copa del Autonio at the Mariana Polo Club and Polo Park Zürich will say a temporary farewell to their members during their Patron’s Cup.  But, fear not! The Southern Hemisphere has begun its season in a timely fashion.  The Argentine season has well and truly begun and, following the Jockey’s Cup last week, this weekend sees the Copa Novillitos at La Aguada Polo Club, whilst in Australia play is under way at Arunga Polo Club. Elsewhere across Australia, yards are preparing for the XI FIP World Championships taking place next month, where approximately 250 ponies will be saddled and ready to fight for their places in the Final.
