The Tortugas Open is underway at The Tortugas Country Club in Argentina. On the opening day, Wednesday 26 September, which also happened to be the Quarter Finals, La Dolfina Polo Ranch defeated La Aguada 14-9, whilst La Dolfina Sancor Seguros took the win 21-5 against Alegría-La Irenita. The second set of Quarter Finals are due to take place today, with Las Monjitas against La Albertina Abu Dhabi first followed by Ellerstina vs Cría Yatay. The Semi Finals are scheduled to take place on Saturday 29 September. The two young teams put on an excellent game of polo in front of their international guests, who were instructed in the rules by Eduardo Heguy on the sidelines. Following the presentation of the trophy, The Machi Totz Trophy for the Best Player, in memory of Máximo who passed away in 1983 at just 20-years-old after a serious polo accident, was presented to Juan.
