Fri 8th Jan 2016All Asia CupVR Sports Club Hosts Eight of South East Asia’s Top Teams The All Asia Cup, played at the VR Sports Club in Thailand, is one of South East Asia’s biggest tournaments, with eight teams taking part this year. The action kicked off on Tuesday 5 January with a match between the Malaysian Tigers and South Korea. Straight from the off it was Malaysia dominating the game and South Korea were unable to get more than 5 goals past the Tigers who scored 13. Up next was home team Thailand against the Mongolian side. This was another easy win for one side as Thailand earned their support scoring 10 goals to Mongolia’s 3, the Srivaddhanaprabha’s proving to be too good for the Mongolian foursome. The following matches, which took place on Wednesday 6 January, followed the same pattern with easy wins from Thailand and the Malaysian Tigers against Mongolia and South Korea respectively. Thursday 7 January saw the final Group A matches with South Korea defeated by a confident Mongolian side who celebrated their first win of the tournament with an impressive 12-1½ victory. This was followed on the main field by a highly anticipated battle between the two favourites Thailand and Malaysia.
