Fri 3rd Jul 2015Close matches in The Jaeger-LeCoultre Gold CupZacara and El Remanso win after exciting play Yesterday saw two close and exciting games played in the closing stages of the second week of The Jaeger-LeCoultre Gold Cup. In the first, Zacara beat VPS Healthcare Sifani 10-7 during an exciting game that exhibited the talents of the teams' players. A five all half-time score was an indication of the close standard of play; however Zacara drew ahead of VPS Healthcare Sifani in the second half. This is both teams' third match of the tournament, and adisappointing result for VPS Healthcare Sifani who are yet to win a match; having lost out to El Remanso and King Power Foxes in their previous matches. The match marks the second win of the tournament for Lyndon Lea's team. The second match between El Remanso and Salkeld saw a win for the Hanbury brothers' team, by 11 goals to 9. A good goal from Ollie Cudmore just before half-time started the latter half of the match 7-2 to El Remanso, a gap that Salkeld valiantly tried to close, but just fell short of in the later stages of the game. Spectators were interested to see Polo Cam drones follow the play during these matches; a new feature which allows a bird's eye view of the match, as well as live-streaming for those watching at home.
