Miramar face La Dolfina in the first round of the 121st Hurlingham Open this Saturday

Following their win in The Tortugas Open, La Dolfina take to the field for the second tournament in the Argentine Triple Crown

La Dolfina are preparing to defend their 2013 title as the second stage in the quest for The Triple Crown begins this Saturday 18 October for The Hurlingham Open. Their first game will be against the 28 goal Miramar, the lowest handicapped team of the tournament, whose line-up includes four 7 goalers: Gonzalo Deltour, Valerio Zublaurre, Inaki Laprida and Santiago Toccalino. This match will be the tournament opener for the eight teams looking to win The Ayrshire Cup. The remaining teams in League A are Alegria and La Aguada Las Monjitas; League B includes Ellerstina, La Aguada, Magual and Chapaleufú. The second game scheduled for Saturday is Alegria vs. La Aguada Las Monjitas and on Sunday, Ellerstina play Chapaleufú whilst La Aguada take on Magual.

Following a fracture to his stick-hand ring finger, Alegria’s Frederick Mannix will be replaced for the majority of the tournament by 8 goaler Alfredo Cappella Barabucci. Both la Aguada and La Aguada Las Monjitas failed to show form in The Tortugas Open. La Aguada Las Monjitas lost against both Alegria and Finalists Ellerstina, whilst La Aguada narrowly missed a win against Magual and winners La Dolfina. Chapaleufú, having battled through the qualifying rounds, with a line-up of three Heguys; Alberto Jnr, Ignacio and Eduardo with Franciso Bensadon with a total handicap of 31 are the second lowest total handicapped team in the tournament. Their first game on Sunday is scheduled against the triple line-up of Pieres’ and Mariano Aguerre of Ellerstina.
