South Africa were the winners of today's Audi International at Beaufort Polo Club. They defeated England 6-4 in the five-chukka match.
England, led by captain Malcolm Borwick, made a strong start and led by two goals at half time. However, the side of Brad Mallett, Jean du Plessis, Gareth Evans and Tom de Bruin, made a swift comeback in the fourth chukka and went on to convincingly beat the home side.
England U21 defeated England Ladies following the international. With both teams level 4-4 at the end of the fourth chukka the game went into extra time, where the U21s scored the golden goal.
