Tue 1st Sep 2026 Dubai Take Fifth Gold Cup Title in Sotogrande Gold Cup wins for Dubai, P1 Cars El Bambú and Vamos Korea   Dubai secured their fifth Copa de Oro Ayala Polo Club High Goal title with a commanding 16-9 victory over Sainte Mesme in Saturday’s Final at Los Pinos. The victory marked Dubai’s first Gold Cup success since 2023 and brought Sainte Mesme’s impressive debut campaign in the Final to an end.    After a competitive opening chukka left Dubai narrowly ahead 4-3, they began to take control, leading 9-6 at halftime before pulling clear in the second half. Sixteen-year-old Pedro Chavanne produced an impressive performance, while Gonzalo Ferrari was named Most Valuable Player and Bartolomé Castagnola was the top scorer with six goals. Ve Ocho Monet, played by Chavanne, was named Best Playing Pony.   In the Medium Goal, P1 Cars El Bambú completed a Silver and Gold Cup double with a 14-11 victory over ATL Polo Team. Carlos María Ulloa scored nine goals and was named Most Valuable Player, while DS Cristal, played by Juan Zubiaurre, received the Best Playing Pony award.   Vamos Korea took the Low Goal title, defeating Santa Quiteria 12-8 and adding Gold to the Bronze title.
