Fri 24th Oct 2025La Zeta Kazak & La Dolfina II Qualify for Argentine Open Qualification Tournament concluded on Thursday 23 October
On Thursday 23 October, The Qualification Tournament, which awards two coveted spots in The Argentine Open, concluded at the Argentine Association of Polo Headquarters in Pilar. Four matches were played in total, but only four teams with a chance of qualifying for The Argentine Open made it to the final round and two ‘Finals’ were played. The winners of these matches, La Zeta Kazak and La Dolfina II, in addition to winning the Remonta and Veterinaria Cups respectively, also qualified for The Argentine Open.
In League B, the unbeaten La Dolfina II went up against La Irenita; La Dolfina II got off to a strong start but La Irenita slowly clawed back the deficit to tie the scores at 7-7 in the fifth chukka but La Dolfina II pulled ahead once more to end the match 10-7.
Next up two unbeaten teams, La Zeta Kazak and La Aguada, went head-to-head to decide the winner of League A; Brit Louis Hine was once again called in as the team’s substitute, this time replacing Beltrán Laulhé. La Zeta Kazak’s Pelón Stirling opened the scoring but La Aguada staged a comeback to take the lead. Despite the best efforts of La Aguada, Pelón Stirling scored three unanswered goals in the last minutes of the final chukka to claim the 10-9 win which secured La Zeta Kazak’s spot in The Argentine Open.
