Mon 20th Oct 2025 85th Tortugas Open Finalists Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufu vs La Natividad La Dolfina Following the four matches played over the weekend 18 – 19 October, the finalists of The 85th Tortugas Open have now been decided.  Saturday 18 October began with a 19-13 win by Sol de Agosto against La Irenita La Hache in their first win in this year’s Triple Crown, giving them high hopes for Palermo. The next match saw two undefeated teams – La Natividad La Dolfina and Los Machitos – go head-to-head with the familial team of La Natividad La Dolfina producing an impressive 22-6 score to secure their place in the Final.  Sunday’s matches saw the last two League B games played with the last spot in the Final depending on the outcome. The opening match between La Ensenada and La Hache Cría & Polo was close until the third chukka when La Ensenada took a 10-5 lead going into half-time which they pushed further to secure the win 18-13. However, whether or not they had done enough to qualify for the Final depended on the outcome of the second match of the day between UAE Polo and Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufu; La Ensenada needed UAE to win by one goal but score 14 or less goals.  The decisive second match saw UAE’s Lukin Monteverde open the scores in the first chukka, but by half-time the scores were tied at 5-5. Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufu took off halfway through the fourth chukka and it was Facundo Pieres who scored the winning goal to secure Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufu’s place in the Final with a 14-12 score.  Following these results, La Natividad La Dolfina will battle against Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufu on Saturday 25 October at 4pm (local time).  The 85th Tortugas Open Final Teams: Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufú Vista (36): Facundo Pieres (10), Antonio Heguy (8), Gonzalito Pieres (9) & Cruz Heguy (9)  La Natividad La Dolfina (40): Camilo Castagnola (10), Adolfo Cambiaso (10), Poroto Cambiaso (10) & Bartolomé Castagnola (10)    Photograph: Action from UAE Polo vs Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufu.
