Mon 10th Dec 2012Teams revealed for US high-goal season The International Polo Club Palm Beach high-goal season will get underway in January.
The teams for the US high-goal season at International Polo Club Palm Beach have been announced.
The 2012 US Open winners Zacara will return to defend their title in 2013. Lyndon Lea's team, which features Magoo Laprida, Mike Azzaro and ten-goaler Facundo Pieres, has been confirmed to play in the 26-goal Triple Crown.
The Triple Crown will begin with the CV Whitney Cup (17 February - 3 March), followed by the USPA Piaget Gold Cup (6-24 March) and concluding with the Maserati US Open (27 March - 21 April).
George Rawlings' Crab Orchard, who pulled out of the 2012 Triple Crown, make their return in 2013 – although only to the 20-goal. The team will feature Felipe Viana, Matias Magrini and Mariano Aguerre.
Teams not returning to the 20-goal in 2013 include Metalek, Pony Express, Circa, Heathcote and Equuleus. Camilo Bautista's Las Monjitas will not be taking part in the 26-goal.
The season begins at the start of January with the Herbie Pennell Cup (3 - 6 January), which is followed by the Joe Barry Cup (5 - 27 January).
