Mon 26th Nov 2012England team announced for Townsend Cup England will play the US for the Townsend Cup at Empire Polo Club in January
THE ENGLAND TEAM for the Townsend Cup arena Test Match has been revealed.
Captain Chris Hyde (9) and seven-goalers Oli Hipwood and Max Charlton will face the US at Empire Polo Club in California on Sunday 12 January. Sebastian Dawnay (8) completes the England line-up as substitute.
The US team will be captained by arena ten-goaler Tommy Biddle and also includes Kris Kampsen (7) and Rob Yackley (6).
The Townsend Cup was last played for by the US and England in 2011, when it was won by the US. The two teams met in 2012, when England beat the US to lift the Bryan Morrison Trophy at Hickstead.
