Fri 9th Nov 2012Hanbury triumphs at Copa de Diamante The Copa de Diamante came to an end yesterday, with a win for Charlie Hanbury's El Remanso team.
BRITISH PLAYER CHARLIE HANBURY led El Remanso to victory in the final of the Copa de Diamante, held yesterday at La Dolfina Polo Club.
The team, also featuring Francisco Elizalde, Alberto Heguy and Jean du Plessis, defeated La Ensenada 15-9 to win the 22-goal tournament, with Hanbury playing off his five-goal Argentine handicap.
This marks the end of a successful season for Hanbury. This summer his El Remanso team reached the semi-finals of the Queen's Cup and the final of the Gold Cup, where they were narrowly beaten by Cortium.
