ENGLAND PLAY THE USA at Cowdray Park tomorrow, Saturday 19 May, for the St Regis International Cup. This year, the match will be played at the Ambersham grounds instead of Lawns due to the recent bad weather. The John Cowdray Trophy has also been postponed to save the ground for the Test Match.
The home side will field a 24-goal team of James Beim, Malcolm Borwick, Luke Tomlinson and Ollie Cudmore – who is playing his first home Test Match. They face a 23-goal American team of Marc Ganzi, Jeff Hall, Nic Roldan and Pablo Pieres.
The USA side arrived on Wednesday morning, ahead of the Audi Polo Awards and have played a couple of practice matches this week. Dubai and Lyndon Lea are among those mounting the visiting team.
Young England match cancelled on Audi International Day at Beaufort
Polo Times has learned that the usual Young England verses England Ladies match, which was due to take place after the Test Match between England and the Commonwealth at Beaufort on 16 June, has been cancelled. Instead, a universities match will be played between Royal Agricultural College and another local university (to be confirmed).
