Mon 4th Aug 2025Sotogrande Bronze Cup Finals Results Titles for Les Lions St. Mesme, Muda IZ Polo & Legacy
The first of The 54th Sotogrande International Polo Tournament Finals were held over Friday 1 and Saturday 2 August with the Bronze Cup Finals at Ayala Polo Club.
On Friday 1 August, Muda IZ Polo beat John Smith 15-10 in The Medium Goal Final with Facundo Sola named Most Valuable Player; Pampa, played by Gregorio Gelosi, was the Best Playing Pony and Cachiyuyo Millonaria, played by Sola, was the AACCP Best Playing Pony.
On Saturday 2 August, both the High and Low Goal Finals were played for. Cedric Schweri’s Legacy, who won Copa Bienvenida and the low goal Open de España earlier in the season, went on to win The Low Goal Final with a 13-8 score against Hartog. Bautista Riglos was named Most Valuable Player and MR Buena Gringa, played by Riglos, was chosen as the Best Playing Pony.
In a close contest, Les Lions Sainte Mesme and Amanara went head-to-head in The 54th Sotogrande International Polo Tournament High Goal Final. The Final went into overtime, with Dillon Bacon scoring the winning goal to take the win for Les Lions Sainte Mesme, 9-8. Tommy Beresford was named Most Valuable Player; Triunfo Cifra, played by Hilario Ulloa was the Best Playing Pony and Meta Alegra, played by Barto Castagnola, was the AACCP Best Playing Pony.
The 54th Sotogrande International Polo Tournament will continue with The Silver Cup over 4 – 16 August, played across 6-8, 12-14 and 20-22 goal level.
