The USA defeated Argentina to claim third place in the Super Nations Cup in Tianjin, China. The team of Mike Azzaro, Nic Roldan, Tomas Collingwood and Ulysses Escapite thundered past the defending champions 13-8 at the Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club.
Despite the Argentine side of Martin Pepa, Mariano Obregon, Michel Dorignac and Martin Donovan putting the first goal on the scoreboard, the USA quickly took the lead, which they maintained throughout the six-chukka game.
The final of the 24-goal tournament will be played tomorrow, between England, who defeated the USA in the first semi-final, and Hong Kong China.
