Fri 31st Oct 2025La Natividad La Dolfina Win 85th Tortugas Open Narrow 12-11 score vs Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufu
After rain delays, La Natividad La Dolfina edged Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufú 12-11 to win The 85th Tortugas Open on Thursday 30 October, at Tortugas Country Club – their second title of the 2025 Argentine Triple Crown.
La Natividad La Dolfina featured Adolfo and Poroto Cambiaso alongside Barto and Jeta Castagnola, while Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufú combined Gonzalito and Facundo Pieres with cousins Cruz and Antonio Heguy, uniting polo’s most iconic surnames and emerging stars.
La Natividad La Dolfina led early through Barto Castagnola and Poroto Cambiaso, but Ellerstina fought back, taking a 6-5 lead at half-time. The second half remained tight, yet three unanswered goals from Poroto and Jeta in the sixth chukka proved decisive. Despite late strikes from Antonio and Cruz Heguy narrowing the gap, Jeta’s final goal sealed the 12-11 win. It marked La Natividad La Dolfina’s second Triple Crown victory of the season – and Poroto Cambiaso’s first Tortugas Open title.
Antonio Heguy was chosen as the Most Valuable Player; Show Down, played by Barto Castagnola, was the AAP Best Playing pony and Guadalupe Lady Jane, played by Poroto Cambiaso, was the AACCP Best Playing Pony.
