Thu 11th Dec 2025AAP Announce Handicap Changes Antonio Heguy raised to 9 & Mia Cambiaso reaches 10 goals
Following the conclusion of the high goal season in Argentina which saw La Natividad La Dolfina secure The Triple Crown, handicap adjustments have been made following a meeting of the Board of Directors on Wednesday 10 December, chaired for the first time by Benjamín Araya. The handicap changes mentioned below will be effective from 1 January 2026.
Antonio Heguy, who played for Ellerstina Indios Chapalefú – the runners up in the Tortugas and Argentine Opens – has gone up from 8 to 9 goals. Other increases include Lorenzo Chavanne, Lucas Criado, Paco de Narváez, Beltrán Laulhé and Felipe Vercellino from 7 to 8 goals; and Louis Hine, Kristos Magrini, José Riglos and Ignacio Viana from 6 to 7 goals. Meanwhile significant decreases include Juan Martin Nero from 10 to 9 goals; Jerónimo del Carril and Ignatius du Plessis from 9 to 8 goals; Rodrigo Ribeiro de Andrade and Alejo Taranco from 8 to 7 goals. To view all of the decreases, click here.
The AAP Board of Directors also made 49 changes to women’s handicaps. The most significant rises belong to the champions of the IX Women's Open, La Dolfina – Mia Cambiaso has moved up from 9 to 10, and Catalina Lavinia has been promoted from 8 to 9 goals. Meanwhile, Maitena Marré and Elena Venot have advanced from 7 to 8 goals; Micaela Saracco from 6 to 7 goals; and finally, Pearl Venot, Juana Deramo and Clara Malén Trino Ruano from 5 to 6 goals. The only drop is that of British player Nina Clarkin, who has fallen from 9 to 8 goals.
