Count down to The Asahi British Beach Polo Championships begins

Clogau Wales Polo Team will return to defend their title

The Asahi British Beach Polo Championships, now in its eighth year, will be returning to Sandbanks on 10 – 11 July. Ricky Cooper, team captain for the Wales Polo Team told to Polo Times, “It will be a huge honour for the Clogau Wales Polo Team to return to the British Beach Polo Championships in Sandbanks as reigning champions. To win in last year’s final against Scotland was the highlight of our season. We literally can’t wait.” Alongside the line-up of polo, the ever popular Beach Volleyball The REVOlution Sandslam promises to deliver top class beach volleyball on both days to entertain the large crowds. Post-polo, the party will continue with DJ EZ headlining on Friday evening and DJ Charles on the Saturday. Polo Times has also had confirmation that Jack Kidd will also be playing on one of the teams. Johnny Wheeler, director of Sandpolo said to Polo Times, “We are delighted to be returning to Sandbanks again. Each year the event gets more popular and introduces more people to the exciting game of polo. Whether you watch the spectacle from the public viewing area on the beach or as ticket holders from the grandstands it is a great day out.” Click here to find out more and book tickets for the weekend. There are a range of tickets available for the day, from VIP luxury lunches to General Admission tickets or even if you don’t want to buy a ticket you can pitch a picnic on the beach and watch from afar on the purpose built beach viewing area. The weekend is sure to be a chance to enjoy the polo, beach volleyball and the beautiful English coast.
