Thu 13th Mar 2014Good start for Lechuza in USPA Gold Cup The second leg of the 26-goal US Triple Crown is underway at International Polo Club Palm Beach
THE USPA PIAGET Gold Cup is now halfway through the league matches, with Lechuza Caracas the only team to have achieved two wins out of two so far.
Lechuza patron Victor Vargas is playing alongside Nico Pieres, Juan Martin Nero and Nico Espain, and the side have achieved wins over Crab Orchard and Coca-Cola so far.
Defending champions Valiente did not get their Gold Cup campaign off to the best start as they were beaten by Gillian Johnston’s Coca-Cola in their first match of the tournament. Fortunes were reversed later in the week however, as Bob Jornayvaz’s Valiente side defeated Crab Orchard 11-10 and Coca-Cola lost 14-11 to Lechuza Caracas.
Action continues today with Audi taking on Flight Options and Orchard Hill playing Alegria. The final is due to be held on Sunday 23 March.
