Wed 22nd Apr 20262026 Argentine Triple Crown Dates & Teams Plus Qualification Tournament
Although September may feel like a long way off, in the frenetic paced, non-stop world of polo, the Argentine Triple Crown will be upon us in the blink of an eye. The Argentine Association of Polo (AAP) has confirmed the dates and team line-ups for the 2026 Triple Crown, as well as for The Qualification Tournament.
The series begins with The 133rd Hurlingham Open (22 September – 3 October), followed by The 86th Tortugas Open (6 October – 7 November) and culminates with The 133rd Argentine Open (10 November – 12 December).
Eight teams are already confirmed for these three tournaments, plus eight teams for The Qualification Tournament (La Irenita, La Zeta Kazak, La Dolfina II, Velay, La Ensenada II, La Dolfina III, La Irenita II and La Matera). The Qualification Tournament teams will be split into two leagues of four teams and play on 24 September, 28 September and 2 October, with the winners of each league securing themselves spots in The Argentine Open as usual, and also for the first time, The Tortugas Open; this will increase the total matches from 44 to 52.
The eight Triple Crown teams are current Triple Crown title holders, La Natividad La Dolfina; Tortugas and Argentine Open 2025 runners up, Ellerstina Indios Chapaleufu; a return to the Triple Crown after a seven year break for Las Monjitas; two newcomers Hiper Polo Club and Haras San Pedro; Don Ercole (who played in 2025 as La Aguada Don Ercole in the playoff); La Hache and La Ensenada.
