ENGLAND WON THEIR fourth and final Test Match of the season on Saturday, after they defeated South America in the HPA's Audi International at Chester Racecourse. After a slow first half, the England side of Ollie Cudmore, James Beim, Mark Tomlinson and James Harper made a comback in the last two chukkas of the five-chukka match to win by half a goal, 8.5-8.
Four-goaler Cudmore had a brilliant game, scoring goals for his side early on but South America – Marcos Araya, Manolo Fernandez Araya, Guillermo Cuitino and Pepe Araya – looked to have the edge during the first half. However, after a pep talk at half time, the home side fought back and soon caught up with the visitors. With both sides fighting hard in the final chukka, it was Beim who successfully converted a penalty, which was enough to secure a narrow victory for his side.
