The Federation of International Polo (FIP) has elected Richard Caleel as its new president.
Caleel, who is from the US, has taken over from Eduardo Huergo after being unanimously elected at the annual FIP General Assembly in Buenos Aires this weekend. Argentine Heurgo has stepped down after almost three years in the role.
Caleel is a polo player, member of the United States Polo Association (USPA) and International Committee chairman. He recently opened a FIP office in Santa Barbara, California and as FIP president he aims to promote polo throughout the world and increase the international presence of the sport.
