Mon 13th Aug 2012Halcyon Gallery win Bledisloe Warwickshire Cup George Hanbury and David Stirling secure another high-goal win
LED BY NINE-GOALER David "Pelon" Stirling, Halcyon Gallery won the Bledisloe Warwickshire Cup yesterday at Cirencester Park Polo Club.
The team, which also featured George Hanbury, Eduardo Heguy and Ali Patterson - who was due to play for Grafton Hunt in the Pony Club Polo Championships on the same day – defeated Guy Schwarzenbach's Black Bears 9-8.
This marks another success for Hanbury and Stirling who have already had a spectacular season this year – reaching the Cartier Queen's Cup semi-finals and Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup final, winning the Cirencester Park 26-goal tournament and now the Warwickshire Cup.
In the subsidiary final, this season's newcomers Godolphin defeated Felix to take home the Bathurst Cup.
