8th Women’s Argentine Open Begins Next Week

Four teams up to 36 goals competing

The 8th Women’s Argentine Open begins next week on Wednesday 20 November with four teams between 27 and 36 goals with the best female players from Argentina, USA. France and England taking part. 44 percent of the players taking part will be overseas players. The teams will be competing for a place in the Final which will be played on field 2 of Palermo on Saturday 7 December as a prelude to The 131st HSBC Argentine Open Final. 

Defending champions El Overo Z7 UAE will be looking to add a fourth title to their name having had wins in 2019, 2020 and 2023. La Dolfina are the tournament’s most prolific team having won four titles (2017, 2018, 2021 and 2022). 

The four teams will played each other in the American format, where all teams place against each other. The first and second placed teams after these matches will play in the Final and the third and fourth placed teams will play for the Subsidiary Trophy on Thursday 5 December.

El Overo Z7 UAE (36): Hope Arellano (10), Hazel Jackson (9), Candelaria Fernández Araujo (9) & Milly Hine (8) 

La Dolfina (34): Mía Cambiaso (8), Catalina Lavinia (8), Nina Clarkin (9) & Lía Salvo (9)

La Hache Thai Polo (28): Clara Cassino (8), Milagros Fernández Araujo (7), Maitena Marré (7) & Azucena Uranga (6) 

Chapa Uno Finca La Rosina (27): Izzy Parsons (9), Elena Venot (7), Sol López Llames (7) & Annabel McNaught-Davis (4)
