The 131st Hurlingham Open Semi Finals have now been set after the results of yesterday’s matches. The first match on Wednesday 25 September saw the first return of Indios Chapaleufu to the Argentine Triple Crown since 2021, but this time with two Heguys featuring in the line-up (unlike in 2021). Cruz and Antonio Heguy are the fourth generation of the family to compete in The Argentine Triple Crown. Indios Chapaleufu faced 2023 Hurlingham Open winners La Dolfina Saudi, who dominated from the second chukka onwards and ended the match with a convincing 23-9 win and with it their place in the Semi Finals. The second match of the day saw a brand new Ellerstina line-up vs La Ensenada in an initially balanced match. Sapo Caset helped steer Ellerstina towards a win in the with 14 goals throughout the match, and by half-time they held a 10-5 lead. La Ensenada struggled to keep pace and by the end of the chukka they were behind 11 goals to 18. Both sides scored in the last chukka, but Ellerstina’s earlier dominance was too strong and they ran out the winners 19-12. These results mean that the Semi Finals have now been set for this weekend as: La Natividad vs La Hache (4pm local time) on Saturday 28 September La Dolfina Saudi vs Ellerstina (4pm local time) on Sunday 29 September Subsidiary Semi Final for Drysdale Cup La Hache Cría & Polo vs Cría La Dolfina (11am local time) on Saturday 28 September Indios Chapaleufu vs La Ensenada (11am local time) on Sunday 29 September The Final for the 131st Hurlingham Open is scheduled for Saturday 5 October.
