Mon 14th Jun 2021Monterosso Remain Undefeated2021 Cartier Queen’s Cup
Yesterday, Sunday 13 June, saw the two latest Cartier Queen’s Cup league matches. The first match of the day saw Scone Polo welcome their patron David Paradice for the first time in this year’s competition and his return was a good omen for Scone Polo as they confidently defeated Thai Polo 10-7, notching up their third win in their last league match of the tournament. Ned and Louis Hine attempted to halt the Cambiaso duo from any running polo, but Scone Polo led from the first chukka and refused to relinquish their early lead. The second match of the day saw Justerini & Brooks Prince of Wales finalists, Monterosso, continue their Cartier Queen’s Cup unbeaten form, with a 12-8 win against BP Polo securing them their third win of the tournament. The win also secured them The Richard Watt Cup; Monterosso have one league match remaining – the last league match of the tournament – against high goal newcomers White Crane on Wednesday.
