Mon 9th Dec 2019The 126th Argentine OpenLa Dolfina and Ellerstina to battle in the Final
The Final of The 126th Argentine Open has been decided. Over the weekend, La Dolfina came up against La Dolfina Polo Ranch in the first Semi Final of the tournament. In front of an unfortunately low number of spectators, La Dolfina Polo Ranch fought valiantly against the La Dolfina powerhouses, performing well but unable to overcome the might of the 40 goal foursome. La Dolfina ultimately secured the first spot in the world’s most famous Final, 15-6. The following day, Sunday 8 December, the boys in black, Ellerstina rallied for their spot in the Final, against 2018 Finalists, Las Monjitas. The match was set to be a repeat of the famous 2018 Semi Final, when Las Monjitas overcame the powerful Pieres foursome to secure a Final position. This year, Ellerstina proved too strong for the famous orange shirts of Las Monjitas. The match was fast and close, but Ellerstina came out the ultimate victors with a narrow 11-10 victory. The Final of The 126th Argentine Open is scheduled to take place this Saturday at Palermo, with thousands of spectators expected for the highlight of the 2019 Argentine season.
