What’s On This Weekend

The polo season in full swing

As the season hots up, there is plenty to whet your polo whistle with this weekend. From Gloucestershire to Berkshire, to Central London, this weekend’s polo calendar is chock-a-block with events.

To kick off the weekend, why not visit the Gloucestershire Festival of Polo at Beaufort Polo Club. The event kicks off tomorrow with an Insight to Dressage by Olympic rider Laura Tomlinson MBE, followed by The Beaufort Celebrity Polo Match sponsored by Gray & Farrar. The highlight of the day will be The Swinhay International Test Match between Flannels England and Ireland, which will mark the end of the day’s events. The following day will be bursting with polo excitement, starting off with The Javier Novillo Astrada U15 Cup Final, followed by the Maserati Charity Polo Trophy: Maserati v Dhamani 1969. Guards Polo Club will be hosting the Quarter Finals of The Cartier Queen’s Cup, which will see Les Lions take on La Bamba de Areco, Valiente vs Talandracas, Emlor vs La Indiana and RH Polo take on Park Place, all vying for the coveted spots in the Semi Finals on Wednesday 13 June. And, last but by no means least, Polo in the Park will be setting Central London alight throughout the weekend. Play got underway today, with three international matches taking place throughout the day, culminating in the ICM International Match between Flannels England and ICM Ireland. Following tomorrow’s Ladies Day, Sunday will see the culmination of three day’s work and the Grand Final in the afternoon. For more information or to purchase tickets, please click here.
