Thu 10th May 2018USA Handicap ChangesThe USPA has announced the 2018 April changes
Following the end of the American high goal season, the United States Polo Association has made some notable changes to high goal professionals handicaps. The following changes have been made: Moved down from 9 to 8 goals: Mariano M. Aguerre Moved up from 8 to 9 goals: Nico Pieres Moved up from 7 to 8 goals: Julian ‘Negro’ De Lusarreta & Juan Britos Moved up from 5 to 6 goals: Jared Zenni, Agustín Obregon, Toro Ruiz, & Felipe Viana Moved up from 4 to 6 goals: Tommy Beresford Moved up from 2 to 3 goals: Henry Porter Moved up from 1 to 2 goals: Mía Cambiaso and Adolfo ‘Poroto’ Cambiaso Jr. There has been strong British recognition in the USA this season, with both Tommy Beresford and Henry Porter promoted by a goal apiece. A number of players will now move on to the UK high goal season, with the Murus Sanctus Trippetts Challenge and the Prince of Wales Trophy at The Royal County of Berkshire already under way. Valiente, following their great success in the US Open and C.V. Whitney Cup winners, will be competing to dominate the British season, as they did across the pond. The team will come to the UK with an amended line-up, with their usual 26 goal team mates, Beresford, swapping his white Valiente shirt for the blue and yellow tones of Park Place and Facundo Pieres joining American patron Michael Bickford and his La Indiana team. Adolfo Cambiaso will continue with the Jornayvaz’s side and will be joined by 7 goal Christian ‘Magoo’ Laprida and Brit, Hugo Lewis. These changes will come into effect on 1 January 2019.
