Argentine Update

Action from La Aguada and Pilar

Las Monjitas and La Ensenada will play in the Final of the XIV Julio Novillo Astrada Cup, sponsored by Rio Uruguay Seguros. The tournament is one of the premier competitions in the Argentine 2017 HSBC Spring Season, held at the La Aguada Polo Club in Open Door. In the last qualifying round, on Tuesday 24 October, La Ensenada beat Las Monjitas by 8½-8 whilst El Milagro beat Escorihuela Gascón 10-7. The date of the Final has not been announced thus far.

Elsewhere in Argentina, the final qualifying matches of the XIII Copa Municipalidad del Pilar were played on Thursday 26 October. The tournament consists of 12, 25 to 28 goal, teams competing for the coveted trophy. Las Monjitas beat La Natividad 11-10 in Zone 1, whilst La Dolfina Palm Beach Equine Clinic beat Alegría Land Rover 10-6 in Zone 2. In Zone 3, Tortugas Etiqueta Negra were victorious against Centauros HB 9-7 whilst La Mancha Chapa Uno beat La Cañada Angiocor 9-8. The Semi Finals are scheduled for Monday 30 October and will be played as follows:
