Fri 24th Feb 2017 Gold Cup Finalists Decided Semi Final Results Despite Storm Doris, yesterday, 23 February, saw three matches played at the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club, with all six teams aiming to secure their place in the Arena Gold Cup Final on Saturday 25 February. With six teams and only two places in the Gold Cup Final, the competition was as fierce as the winds, however in the end it was SUPA Polo and Sifani who took the top spots. The schedule for Saturday will be as follows: Bronze Cup, 10.30am: K-Law Imperial vs Emlor  Silver Cup, 12pm: Regal Warriors vs Four Quarters Gold Cup, 2pm: Sifani vs SUPA Polo Sifani have sampled the bitter taste of defeat earlier this year in the HPA National Club Championships 15 Goal, where they narrowly missed out to Four Quarters by just one goal, with a final score of 16-15. In the qualifying stages for this tournament, Sifani have had a somewhat mixed bag of results, with a 23-22 win over Emlor followed by a 15-13 defeat at the hands of HPA National Club Championships 15 Goal rivals, Four Quarters. SUPA Polo started the tournament with a strong 21-15 win over K-Law imperial, only to be beaten by Regal Warriors 19-12.  The Arena Gold Cup Final always provides a spectacular display of arena polo and no doubt Saturday’s match will prove no different.
