In the opening rounds of The Thai Open all the teams have had a mixed set of results with no clear leader emerging in the teams. The second week of games scheduled to continue on Tuesday 10 January will be exciting and important for the progression of the teams towards the Final. In the opening game of the tournament on Wednesday 4 January Mohammed Moiz’s La Familia defeated the Malaysia National Team with a final score of 8-4½ and in the second game of the day, Club owner Harald Link had success with his Thai Polo team as they won against Royal Pehang with a comfortable lead and a final score of 9-4. On Friday 6 January the Malaysia National Team had better luck and the highest scoring game of the tournament so far as they won 14-4½ against Royal Pehang. La Familia took their second win of the tournament to defeat Axus, 9-8, but then lost against Thai Polo by just half a goal the next day. Axus came back fighting in their second game to claim victory against the Malaysia National Team with a score of 10-4½. The Thai Open Final will be played on Saturday 14 January.
