Thu 22nd Dec 2016FIP Snow Polo World Cup 2017England team announced
FIP first teamed up with Tianjin Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club in 2012, and the formula set amongst the towering skyscrapers of Tinajin has proved to be a winning success. Unfortunately for England, 2016 were defeated by Hong Kong, so no doubt this year’s squad will be keen to set the record straight for 2017. The England team for the FIP Snow Polo World Cup 2017 has been announced, with James Harper (6) as Captain alongside Jack Richardson (6) and Ali Paterson (4) and Dave Allen as team reserve/coach. The England squad will be flying out on 13 January 2017 to Tianjin Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club to prepare for their first match against Argentina on Tuesday 17 January, with the winner of that match facing Australia the following day. Meanwhile, in Zone 2 Hong Kong will face South Africa on Tuesday 17 January, with the victor drawn to play against USA the following day. The Finals are scheduled to be played on Sunday 22 January following the event’s Gala Dinner – keep an eye on Polo Times pages for more updates from China.
