Wed 21st Dec 2016HPA Visa UpdateDavid Woodd, The HPA Chief Executive has contacted Polo Times today to update our readers on the latest news regarding the Home Office’s recent decision regarding visas.
“Despite that the HPA has made several formal submissions, supported by evidence, and was told that the matter had been placed before Mr Robert Goodwill MP, the Immigration Minister and Ms Amber Rudd, the Secretary of State for the Home Department and that Mr Goodwill was expected to make a decision last week as to whether the current visa criteria could remain in place for the 2017 season so as to allow proper consultation, no response has been received yet. Accordingly, the HPA's lawyers have today contacted the Home Office to seek once again a response before Christmas. The HPA is acutely aware of the urgent need for a resolution so that we can all start to prepare for the 2017 season. Whilst the decision is still under consideration, it is important for now that any further actions or publicity is coordinated through the HPA or its lawyers, Charles Russell Speechlys".
