Now in its third year, this is Prostate Cancer UK’s flagship music event, put on by Kenney Jones and his wife Jayne at Hurtwood Park Polo Club to raise much needed funds and awareness for the disease. Prostate cancer kills over 10,000 men in the UK every year and over 42,000 are diagnosed, making it the most common cancer in men. The day will once again offer the traditional properties of polo with the added benefit of an array of high performance super cars on display. With over 500 million records sold between them the line-up for this year’s Rock ‘n’ Horsepower event on 18 June is one of the best ever! The artists appearing on the Jagex stage are: Bob Geldolf and the Boomtown Rats Paul Young Mike Rutherford John Lodge Chris Difford Los Pacaminos The Strypes Marc Almond Cregan & Co Daphne Guinness Noah Francis Johnson And of course Kenney Jones and the Jones Gang Backing up some of the artists is the fabulous house band Josh Phillips, Jim Cregan, Jamie Moses, Johnson Jay, Geoff Dunn, Johnny Thirkell, Neil Sidwell, Sam Tanner, Pat Davey, Susie Webb and Zoe Nicholas, Tommy Blaize, Mick Donnelly and Karlos Edwards, all of whom have played beside some of the biggest names in the music industry.
