Fri 22nd Jan 2016HPA Arena Nationals UpdateFinals Decided for 3 and 12 Goal On Saturday 23 January at The Royal county of Berkshire Polo Club RCBPC Gaucho and EPC Four Quarters will go head to head in the Final of the 12 goal HPA New Year National Club Championships. EPC Four Quarters have had the strongest form in this year’s tournament, winning both their games. 10 goaler Chris Hyde didn’t make it easy for them on Thursday 21 January as the scores were high and close, with Simon Arber’s team just stretching ahead to take the game 20-19. However, they defeated the opponents for the Final with quite some ease with a score of 21-12, which doesn’t bode well for RCBPC Gaucho. Here’s hoping the RCBPC team have something up their sleeve. A guest team of James Fearn (0), Jamie Morrison (6) and Howard Smith (6) are stepping in to fill the gap for the Subsidiary Final to play against Hilali Noordeen’s Sifani line-up of James Mann and Chris Hyde. The Final is scheduled for 2pm and the Subsidiary Final will be earlier in the day at 11.15am. In the 3 goal section of the tournament, the family trio of Corks playing as HPC Print On Demand will face FPC Tchogan in the Final, after a competitive round of league games. RCBPC Los Caballeros defeated Gaucho in the Subsidiary Semi Final to take the spot against Ash Farm Sau Wild, finishing off the line-up of teams for the finals day scheduled games for the Subsidiary Final.
