Fri 15th May 2015British Polo 10 Goal Championships launched by HPAEnter to be in with a chance to play on International Day at Guards
The HPA have today announced the inaugural British Polo 10 Goal Championships, in the quest to provide an opportunity for both existing and up-and-coming British players. The Final will be played on the morning of the International Day at Guards. Last year the morning game was a qualifying game between Apache and Chester Racecourse for the FIP European Championships in September 2014. Teams between 8 and 10 goals may enter with any sponsored players who hold a valid UK passport and are over 18 years of age on or before 25 July. Entry fees for the tournament have been set at £5,000 and include an invitation to the Coronation Cup Dinner at Guards on Thursday 23 July and eight complimentary seats in the South Stand. This entry fee does not, however, include umpire fees, which will be charged separately. Each team will have two games before any knock out phase. The HPA will decide the final formula for the league and any applicable group games after all entries have been received. In the case that the number of entries has to be limited, the HPA will take the first entries made. The league or group matches and any subsequent knockout games are provisionally scheduled to run from 18 June to the 18 July, with the Semi-Finals to be played on 23 July and the Final on the 25 July, International Day. The deadline for entering your team will be 5pm on 10 June with the draw to be issued by the 12 June. Click here to enter you team.
