With Argentina having been hit by bad weather in recent weeks, La Dolfina and Ellerstina are hoping to play out the Final of The Hurlingham Open tomorrow. Tough Semi Finals saw La Dolfina just squeeze past Alegria to win 13 goals to 12, whilst the Pieres brothers and their teammate, Mariano Aguerre took their Ellerstina team to victory over La Aguada, 14 goals to 12. The original Final – the second tournament of The Triple Crown – was scheduled for last weekend, but heavy rainfall forced the AAP to postpone the tournament for a week. Defending champions La Dolfina (Adolfo Cambiaso, Pablo MacDonough, Pelon Stirling and Juan Martin Nero) will look to replicate their Tortugas Open win over Ellerstina (Facundo, Gonzalito and Nico Pieres, and Mariano Aguerre) in tomorrow’s match at Palermo. In further Argentine news, the start date of The 121st Argentine Polo Open Championship - the most coveted trophy in the polo world – has been set. La Dolfina will play Miramar on Saturday 15 November in the opening game of the tournament . The Final will take place on Saturday 6 December.
