Thu 9th Oct 2014 Ellerstina make The Tortugas Open Final Alegria loses Semi Final match, meaning Ellerstina will face La Dolfina in the Final for the fourth year running     The Tortugas Open Final this Saturday 11 October will see Facundo Pieres take on Adolfo Cambiaso for the fourth consecutive year in the first tournament of the Triple Crown series. Alegria failed to beat the 38 goal Piaget Ellerstina on the Pieres' home grounds at Ellerstina Polo Club yesterday leaving them in third place despite leading on the scoreboard until the fourth chukka. A flurry of fouls in the fourth allowed Ellerstina to narrow the score with three consecutive goals to lead 6-5. The fifth chukka was the breaking point with the Pieres trio and their teammate Mariano Aguerre breaking away with steady goals until the last chukka when Alegria managed a last ditch attempt to close the gap with three more goals. However, the match's final score came to 13-10. Gonzalito and Facundo's coursin, Polito Pieres scored nine out of the 10 goals for Alegria, six of those from the field, with team Captain Fred Mannix finding the posts for the tenth goal for their team.
