Mon 22nd Dec 2008AAP Handicap Changes As Juan Martin Nero is increased to 10 goals, for the first time in history the world of polo has two 40-goal teams.
Following the recent handicap changes by the Argentine Polo Association and the increase of Juan Martin Nero’s handicap to a well deserved 10 after a successful season, Ellerstina, the recent winners of the Argentine Open, has become the second team to currently hold the maximum 40-goal level. Ellerstina is the fifth team in history to reach this status, after Coronel Suarez, La Espadana, Indios Chapaleufu and La Dolfina.

From 7 to 8 - Juan Agustin Garcia Grossi, David Stirling, Ignacio Toccalino and Hilario Ulloa
From 6 to 7 - Mark Tomlinson, Facundo Castagnola, Manuel A. Crespo, Ezequiel Martinez Ferrario, Nicolas and Pablo Pieres, Guillermo Terrera, Santiago Toccalino and Juan Martin Zavaleta
From 5 to 6 - Tom Morley, Juan Pedro Chavanne, Ignatius Du Plessis, Martin Espain, Agustin Canale, Santiago Cernadas, Gonzalo García del Rio, Luis María Gotelli, Julio Gracida, Santiago Schweitzer, Santiago Tanoira, Gaston Urturi and Clemente Zavaleta
Decreases have also been announced and some of the most important are:

From 9 to 8 - Alberto Heguy and Matias MacDonough
