Brits to contest Copa El Remanso

The 22-goal tournament gets underway today in Argentina

THE COPA EL REMANSO begins today at the Hanbury family's Argentine estancia El Remanso, with four British players set to take part.

Five-goaler Charlie Hanbury will be joined by Jack Richardson on his El Remanso team, which also features Guillermo Terrera and Jejo Taranco. Hanbury will be looking to secure a third consecutive title, having won in 2011 with El Remanso and in 2012 with Lovelocks Polo Stud.

Ollie Cudmore will play for Lovelocks Polo Stud in this year's tournament, alongside Agustin Martinez, Juanjo Araya and Manolo Fernandez Llorente.

British patron Steve Rigby will team up with Matias Amaya, Sapo Caset and Miguel Novillo Astrada on his Rigby & Rigby team.

The first match takes place today, with El Remanso facing Escoriehuela Gascon – Daniel, Tomas and Gaston Dartiguelongue, and Matias Benoit. The final is due to be played on Saturday 18 October.
