Jockey Club Open final tomorrow
First high-goal tournament of the Argentine season to conclude tomorrow
CHAPALEUFU AND LA CALIFORNIA are through to the final of the 34-40-goal Jockey Club Open, following the conclusion of the semi-finals.
The Chapaleufú line-up of Alberto Heguy, Francisco Elizalde, Bautista Heguy and Eduardo Heguy defeated Magual 14-10 in the first semi-final on Saturday, to claim the first spot in the final.
Having been postponed for nearly a week due to heavy rainfall, the second semi-final went ahead yesterday, with the La California team of Diego Cavanagh, Guillermo Terrera, Nachi du Plessis and Tomas Garcia del Rio beating Casablanca 8-7, and securing themselves the second position in tomorrow's final.
Both teams will also contest the qualifiers for the Hurlingham and Argentine Opens, which get underway on Thursday 26 September.
