Tue 7th May 2013Dubai Gold Cup Series handicap raised Both the Dubai Gold and Silver Cups will have their handicaps raised in 2015
THE DUBAI POLO Gold Cup Series will be played at 18-goal level in 2015, making it the highest handicapped patron-led tournament in Asia. The series, which includes the Dubai Silver Cup and the Dubai Gold Cup, is currently played at 16-goals, which will also be the case in 2014. For 2015, the decision has been made to raise the handicap to 16-18-goal level. The 2013 series concluded in March, with Ghantoot lifting the Gold Cup and Habtoor winning the Silver Cup. The tournaments are hosted by the Dubai Polo & Equestrian club and held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
