Polo in the Park draw announced at launch

Six teams will face each other at London's iconic polo event held in Hurlingham Park

THE DRAW FOR this year's MINT Polo in the Park was announced at the event's official press launch this morning.

The event, now in its fifth year, will kick off in Hurlingham Park, Fulham on Friday 7 June with the Sydney team, led by Jamie Morrison, playing Abu Dhabi, which will be captained by Nacho Gonzalez.

Defending champion London, led by George Meyrick, will then take on Moscow, featuring captain Max Charlton, who triumphed as part of the London team in 2012.

Oscar Mancini's Buenos Aires team will play Beijing, represented for the first time at Polo in the Park this year, in the third match of the day.

The tournament will conclude on Sunday 9 June. Meyrick will be joined on home team by Nick Britten-Long and Oli Hipwood in London's bid to win the title for the third time.
